"And The Blood Came Down Like A Curtain" ended up being the final studio recording from Virginia's WAIFLE, a heavy, DIY hardcore-based band featuring Brent Eyestone (Bleach Everything, Highness, Corn on Macabre), Mark Eyestone (Magic Bullet Skateboards), and Michael Presta.
Ultimately part of the late 90's/early 00's Washington, DC/Northern Virginia DIY movement with friends in Crestfallen, Majority Rule, and Pageninetynine, Waifle were also fortunate enough to ahve toured and played shows with a diverse range of artists from The Locust to His Hero is Gone to Patti Smith to Mastodon to Adam Yauch to Braid to Botch and well beyond during their run.
Recorded by Brian McTernan, "And The Blood Will Come Down Like A Curtain" was truly an amalgam of the influence and inspiration of such diversity from tour to tour and show to show in the years leading up to its recording. It also captures the band at their most confident and consistent on record, as previous recordings were often made in a rushed capacity while also still learning how to play.
